Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet

Mark your calendars! The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) will celebrate Ohio’s cattlemen, hear from industry leaders and set new policy for 2018 at the OCA Annual Meeting and Banquet on January 20, 2018, at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center in Lewis Center, Ohio. 

The morning will kick off at 9:00 AM with a Cattlemen's Youth Quiz Bowl written test, followed by a Youth Beef Quality Assurance Session.

The county cattlemen's association leaders meeting will take place at 1:00 pm to learn more about the opportunities offered through their OCA County Affiliation. Local leaders will be provided with information and resources to take back to their county organizations to utilize throughout the year.

The Ohio Cattlemen's Foundation (OCF) luncheon will recognize the 2018 scholarship recipients, followed by the annual OCF business meeting.

Following the luncheon, OCA's Annual Meeting will be held. Take an active role in OCA by attending this meeting. Members will set policy for upcoming year, receive program updates and Top Hand Club members will be recognized for their membership recruitment achievements.

The evening's banquet highlights county affiliate activities and six industry leaders and families. The event concludes with the Cattlemen's Social following the banquet.

Youth Opportunities

Cattlemen's Youth Quiz Bowl: A Beef Stockmanship and Stewardship Competition

Showcase your beef industry knowledge at the first annual Ohio Cattlemen's Youth Quiz Bowl. The contest is open to all Ohio youth ages 8-21 (as of Jan. 1. 2018). It will be a two-part contest, consisting of a written round and a verbal round. There will be 3 age divisions offered. The top 3 individuals in each age category in the written contest will be recognized as well as the top team in each group of the quiz bowl. Individuals may sign up as an individual or as a four-member team. 4-H, FFA chapters, breeds associations and county team participation is encouraged but not mandatory.
